4 days since our rededication
It was a perfect day, will have to catch up with the whole story when we get our laptop back in commission. The humidity did a number on it, so, hoping to either get it working today, or wait til we get home and post pictures.

Last details
My dress is done, and in the travel garment bag ready to go to Mexico. In the same bag is the veil with comb, the barefoot sandals, and my wedding Sari.
The sleeves I attached to the dress actually look like they are supposed to be there. I added a ton of rhinestones to give the bodice a nice glittery look in the sunlight.
Tim's shirts for the ceremony and the dinner are done and hanging in his closet waiting for him to start packing.
I still need to find a pair of earrings for the ceremony. I'd love some wedding jewelry for the dinner, but, no big deal if I don't get that.
The weather is looking more active in the Atlantic, and I'm watching that very closely. There are several tropical lows that could turn into something that will affect Akumal either just before or during our trip. The fact that the weather is stirring up is normal for this time of year, being hurricane season and all. Whatever happens, happens.

25 Days til we leave
Wow, it's really getting close now.
I have completed the alterations for Tim's shirt, it looks great and I'm pleased with how it came out. My dress is almost done, just have to finish the stitching on the attached sleeves to make it all one piece, then it gets packed away for the trip.
I've started packing my suitcase, and Tim is getting into that mode a bit, too.
Now that he's seen I can alter things to fit him, I am altering his swimsuit, and one of his dress shirts, too.
I have just eight total days of work before I leave for Maryland on a training trip, and then one night when I get back before we leave for Mexico. The eight days are scattered over the next two weeks. That leaves me seven days to complete my sewing, packing, and planning.

35 days til we leave
Just 35 days and we will be jetting off to Akumal. I still have to finish the sleeves on my dress, they are attached and nearly done, just have some fine tuning. I also have to get the sleeves on Tim's shirts reattached, but first I have to measure them to his shoulders and arms.
The rest of the clothing is pretty much ready to pack.

And last but not least, the cake.
As it will only be the two of us, we don't need a huge cake. What would we do with the leftovers? I suppose we could share with random passers by, but, on the beach in Akumal after dark, there are precious few passers by. I have asked Jennifer, our wedding coordinator, who is also the owner of Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery, to make us a small wedding cake. I found the perfect cake topper for a beach wedding, and it kind of resembles us, so, the cake needs to be made to compliment the topper, not the other way around. Im thinking, a sandy colored cake, possibly red velvet with cream cheese frosting in a dusty color made by mixing in a bit of cocoa for color, decorated with a few star gazer lilies and our topper.

No shoes, No shirt, no Problem
